Gastrointestinal bleeding (GI bleed)

Also known as gastrointestinal hemorrhage, is all forms of bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract, from the mouth to the rectum.

Symptoms:

  • Blood in the stool.
  • Vomiting blood or what looks like coffee grounds.
  • Dark, tarry stools.
  • Abdominal cramps or diarrhea.
  • Fatigue.
  • Paleness in appearance.
  • Anemia.
