Sphenoiditis

Is an inflammation of one or more of the paranasal sinuses, often occurring during an upper respiratory tract infection when infection in the nose spreads to the sinuses (sometimes encouraged by excessively strong blowing of the nose).

Symptoms:

  • Headache
  • The smell from the nose, which feels only the patient himself, surrounding it do not feel
  • The discharge of runoff along the front wall of the sinus on the main vault of the nasopharynx and the posterior pharyngeal wall
