Diabetes insipidus (DI)
Is a condition characterized by excessive thirst and excretion of large amounts of severely dilute urine, with reduction of fluid intake having no effect on the concentration of the urine.
Symptoms:
- Extreme thirst that can't be quenched (polydipsia)
- Excessive amounts of urine (polyuria)
- Colourless urine instead of pale yellow.
- Waking frequently through the night to urinate.
- Dry skin.
- Constipation.
- Weak muscles.
- Bedwetting.
