Molluscum contagiosum
Is a common viral infection in children. It causes bumps on the skin including the eyelids and eyelid margins (ocular molluscum).
Symptoms:
- Are generally painless, but can itch
- Are small
- Have a dimple in the center
- Are initially firm, dome-shaped, and flesh-colored
- Become softer with time
- Have a central core of white, waxy material
