Also known as myopia, is a common type of refractive error where close objects appear clearly, but distant objects appear blurry. The cornea and lens bend (refract) incoming light rays so they focus in front of the retina.
Symptoms:
Blurry vision when looking at distant objects.
The need to squint or partially close the eyelids to see clearly.
Headaches caused by eyestrain.
Difficulty seeing while driving a vehicle, especially at night (night myopia)
